In terms of competences, Platon covers a wide field and I can therefore always get help from a colleague as to solving problems in terms of tasks outside of my primary field of work. This gives me credibility as a consultant and is at the same time a comfortable safety net in the daily life which makes me able to focus on my tasks.
Career
I have worked with Business Intelligence for 6 years prior to my employment in Platon in 2007. I hold an MSc in Business Economics as educational background. I started my career as controller so I do not have a background in IT. This has however not been a disadvantage to me, on the contrary. My financial background gives me a basic foundation in the daily dialog with clients and I am the natural link between the IT department and the business areas that I usually work in.
Since I joined Platon I have had the opportunity to work with different technologies and develop my skills as project manager and sparring partner to the clients. Also, to a great extent I have had the opportunity to influence my own career and my ideas are being very well received and supported.
Daily working life
”Much freedom with responsibility and the opportunity to have an influence on your own tasks”. To put it briefly, this is the best way to describe the daily working life at Platon. My primary tasks are project management related in Business Intelligence projects, and advisory and implementation within Performance Management. As many of the tasks cut across different technologies, my job ensures that I constantly keep up with the latest development in these areas and feel that I grow professionally and thereby maintain my market value as an employee.
Colleagues
The professional depth and width of the competences in Platon never cease to amaze me. In addition to the high professional level, the daily working life is full of smiles and humor. Platon sees to it that we meet frequently so we do not feel left alone at the clients’ but actually feel part of a large organization. I have voluntarily chosen to take an active part in our staff club which organizes various social activities on a monthly basis.
